Disfellowship errors

Disfellowship errors is an extension of the article Kick them out the Church, disfellowship. If you haven’t read it please click hyperlink. This post will cover a few errors surrounding disfellowship. The following are random errors and therefore not meant to flow as a traditional article.

When a disfellowship continues after a member has repented the purpose of disfellowship has been forgotten and members will suffer hurt and often swallowed up with grief leading the individual to give up completely.

When disfellowship is administered for organizational reasons rather than scriptural reasons the purpose of disfellowship has been forgotten and members will suffer hurt and often swallowed up with the grief that leads to them given up completely.

When the church disfellowship with a member without expressing to the member why, the purpose of disfellowship has been forgotten and members will suffer hurt and often swallowed up with the grief that leads to them given up completely.

When the church is divided on whether or not to disfellowshipped is necessary, the purpose of disfellowship has been forgotten and members will suffer hurt and often swallowed up with the grief that leads to them given up completely.

When disfellowship exceeds the biblical prescriptions, the purpose of disfellowship has been forgotten and members will suffer hurt and often swallowed up with the grief that leads to them given up completely.  This happens when a congregation refrains from speaking to members that are in disfellowship that doesn’t require avoiding members. In these cases the congregation is instructed to avoid members that are in disfellowship and anyone found speaking with them will be questioned and rebuke. This is unbiblical; the bible doesn’t command us to refrain from talking to members, only not to keep company.

When members are disfellowshipped and treated (when this behavior isn’t necessary) as an enemy the purpose of disfellowship has been forgotten and members will suffer hurt and often swallowed up with the grief that leads to them given up completely.

When members are disfellowship and silenced based on statements made by unknown sources, the purpose of disfellowship has been forgotten and members will suffer hurt and often swallowed up with the grief that leads to them given up completely.

When Members of Christ are automatically disfellowshipped because they were overtaken in a fault, the purpose of disfellowship has been forgotten and members will suffer hurt and often swallowed up with the grief that leads to them given up completely.
