When the son of God “Disappeared”

The purpose of this article is to address the “No more Son of God now” doctrine started by the Refuge/Frist Church of our Lord” organization. There’s no attempt to personally belittle the leaders Elder Walker or the late S. C. Johnson. Although I disagree with them on the subject, I respect them as individuals and their attempts to fight for the truth.  The late S. C. Johnson (Refuge/Frist Church of our Lord” organization) created this new doctrine less than 50 years ago as a defense against the Trinity. “We are happy to teach it; but we will not by any means debate it. There is not one single scripture which states that: ‘there is a son of God in heaven NOW; NO not one.”- Chief Elder Walker.

Elder Walker is the pastor of the Apostolic Ministries of America, Inc. located in Titusville, FL. The Apostolic Ministries of America Inc. is one of the many branches of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith where S. C. Johnson, (who passed away February 22, 1961) was pastor.

“Bishop S.C. Johnson has being the first modern day apostle to preach this issue to the whole world.” – Chief Elder.  The bible Apostles taught the “Son of God,” would suffer, die and rise on the third day. The Refuge/Frist Church of our Lord” organization rejects the idea that “The Son” rose from the grave and when into heaven. The Refuge/Frist Church of our Lord” organization believes the son cease to be the son at the cross.

   The way God did this thing is the way it is and there is nothing neither you, nor anyone else can do about it. It is the word of God and that is that! : And No, the son of God does not exist in heaven now. – Chief Elder.

In accord with the testimonies of the Lord Jesus and his apostles, the “Son-ship” would go beyond the grave. “The Son of man (The son of God) must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day.”

In accord with all the scriptures the son will:

  • Suffer
  • Be rejected
  • Be slain
  • Rise on the third day
  • Return to the father
  • Return to earth  to judge

As we review these facts we must remember the correlation of the “Son of God,” “Son of Man” and “The Christ” which identifies his humanity. The Lord Jesus asked has disciples a very important question, saying, who do men say that I the Son of man am?  And they said, some say that you are John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets. But Jesus asked them, but who do you say I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, you are the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, blessed are you, Simon

Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto you, but my Father which is in heaven. (Mat 16:13-17)

This passage is specific; The “Son of man” is the “Christ” the “Son of the Living God.” This would indicate that there’s no “Christ” without a son. NO “Son” NO “Christ.” The question then must be asked; did “Christ” rise from the grave and go into heaven?  Remember, the “Son of man” is the “Christ” the “Son of the Living God.”  The Apostle Paul makes this statement on the subject; “If Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.” (1Co 15:17) And if “Christ” did rise from the grave then so did the “Son of the Living God.”  If one fell to understand the correlation then it is possible to miss the mark of sound doctrine. The “Son of man” is the “Christ” the “Son of the Living God.”

   The argument: “No, the son of God does not exist in heaven now. Do you not understand that the Begotten Son of God was blood and flesh and that which the Virgin Mary gave birth to and that it was our Passover, our Sacrifice that was set forth according to the law of God which as set in the House of Levi and that sacrifice was totally consumed, there was nothing left of the Passover Sacrifice it was totally consumed according to God’s law and there was never ever anything left of it; not even one bone, it was consumed!! It was sacrificed and that sacrifice had to be in totality for it was a sin sacrifice and for sin not to exist; to be blotted out; removed from our records; the sacrifice had to be totally consumed, nothing could be left of it. This was the order given to the Son of God (that which was flesh and blood) and He had to be totally consumed in order to take away the sins of the world. Behold the Lamb of God, who taketh away the sins of the world. And unless that sin sacrifice is totally consumed, sin will still exist. Therefore it was necessary to totally consume all of the Begotten Son of God so that all our sins are totally blotted out, that they can be no more written/visible on our individual record; instead they are condemned in His flesh and are no more because the sacrifice is no more. There is nothing left of the sacrifice to harbor sin.” –Elder Walker

The consumption theory sounds wonderful, but we must accept it for what it is, a theory. There were many offering post law and in the law that were received by God without consumption, and to form a doctrine base on a piece of passage is a mistake. The Israelites were told to eat the flesh of the Passover with unleavened bread and bitter herbs. The Passover could not be eaten raw, sodden at all with water, but roasted with fire: The head with his legs, and with the inward parts.

The Israelites were instructed to eat the Passover leaving nothing for the morning. However, it’s important to note the rest of the verse which says; “And that which remained of it until the morning you shall burn with fire”. There were remains and those remains had to be burned with fire the next day; which in itself conflicts the doctrine “No son of God in heaven now.” The bible doesn’t teach a correlation between the consumption of the Passover in the Old Testament and the existence of the Son of God. The biblical parallel explains how Christ the lamb was killed on fourteenth day of the first month as instructed in the law. The lamb was killed by the Israelite and so was our Lord when Pontius Pilate desired to release him, but the Jews committed him to death. The Israelite roasted the lamb with fire, and fire is the intense suffering our LORD endured. The Israelite ate the lamb with bitter herbs which again speaks of the bitter suffering of our LORD. The lamb had to be eaten before the next day, and our LORD was not allowed to remain on the cross till the next day because of the high Sabbath, and that is the reason the Israelite ate the Passover with haste.

In accord with all the scriptures the son will:

  • Suffer
  • Be rejected
  • Be slain
  • Rise on the third day
  • Return to the father
  • Return to earth  to judge

The “Son of man” is the “Christ” the “Son of the Living God.” If there’s no son then there is on CHRIST. And if there’s no Christ we are yet in sin and have become liars because we claim we are saved when there is no CHRIST.

For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he (Christ) was buried, and that he (Christ) rose again the third day according to the scriptures. And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three Sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures, Opening and alleging, that Christ must needs have suffered, and risen again from the dead; and that this Jesus, whom I preach unto you, is Christ. (Act 17:2-3 1Co 15:3-4)

  The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not. (Luke 24:7 Luke 21:27 Luke 18:8 Luke 12:40)

 Luke 9:22 Saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day.

 Matthew 12:40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;

I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first. (Rev 2:18-19)

  Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God. Who is he that overcomes the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? (Acts 9:20 1John 5:5 1John 4:15)

The scripture doesn’t support the “No Son of God in heaven now” doctrine. There are simply too many scriptures opposing its view. A well thought out theory, is still a theory when there’s no hard evidence. We can’t begin to fight so hard against falsehood that we knock ourselves out of the truth. A lie will always be a lie no matter how many times it’s repeated, and a lie will always be a lie regardless of its sincere beginning.

  1. Mr Clark it is not my fault that you have never been given the knowledge and wisdom required to understand the mysteries of God and His Kingdom. And at the rate you are tripping up your own self trying to explain the book of scripture; god will never give you understanding of His mysteries; in as much as you just make a nasty mess of things; using the book of scripture to show all others to be wrong and only yourself correct. Well, I tell you this: Your are not on my level in receiving and understanding God’s Wisdom and probably never will be; so there can never be any redeeming dialogue on your part; and that makes this case closed……….Chief Elder Charles Ford Walker

    PS: Go play with your pet SNAKE…………………………..!!!

  2. Dear Elder,

    I appreciate your concerns about my lack of knowledge on the subject. I also share the same concern in regards to the “No son of God” doctrine taught by you and your followers. We know the trinity doctrine was man creative way of explaining what he doesn’t understand. But we both agree that no prophet or apostle ever taught the doctrine of the trinity. However, there is some parallels between the “Trinity” doctrine and the “No son of God in heaven now doctrine.” Both doctrines are so incredibly difficult to understand that they are “labeled” mysteries. Obviously both doctrines are so mysterious that they were hidden from all the prophets and apostles. There is more, both doctrines have been made a point of salvation and anyone that don’t believe in the trinity or the No son of God in heaven now doctrine, is not saved. Since no prophet or apostle taught either these doctrines, this is completely unbiblical. But there are more correlations between the two doctrines; both are constantly evolving into new and improved doctrines. Although there are many correlations between the two doctrines, the trinity doctrine has a slight creative advantage. The trinity doctrine (as false as it is) was formed a few hundred years after the resurrected Christ, while the “No son of God doctrine” was birth thousands of years after Christ. Although there both false, at least the trinity has been around longer.

    As for me receiving the mystery of your doctrine, if none of the prophets or apostles received it, then neither do I. Last, I want to address your “LEVEL.” I am not concern about levels. I’m concern about truth and falsehood. It doesn’t matter what level you are, you’re not above correction or error. Many great prophets and apostles had to be corrected and surely you’re not on their level, so you’re not above fault.

    I believe every mystery God reveal to a man/or woman must confirm scriptures not contradict scriptures. Sir, with all respect, your doctrine contradicts scriptures.

    Revelation 2:18 And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;

    1. I am no expert, but I do not believe in the trinity, and yet, I believe in ONE God, and that Jesus is that God, and that there are no other God’s but Jesus. Now, the way I dissect this is the following:

      John 4:24 states that God is a Spirit.

      We know that we are a spirit (At least, some of us do). We have a body that houses our spirit, and we have a soul (YES we HAVE a soul, as well as we are a soul).

      Knowing this:
      Spirit = Father
      Body = Son
      Soul = Holy Spirit.

      Why do I say that Soul = Holy Spirit, you might ask?

      Simple. Soul is the Greek word PSUCKE. Transliterated to Latin is PSYCHE. The definition of psyche deals with your mind (Thinking).

      The Apostle Paul states that we have the MIND of Christ (The Holy Spirit).

      Conclusion, there is no such thing as three PERSONS (beings) of God. They are all three the same person (being), shown in three different attributes, spirit AND soul AND body.

      Christian is another way of saying LIVES IN CHRIST. Canadians LIVE IN CANADA, Christians live in Christ. That is our residence.

      The Body of Christ is mentioned much. BODY. There is ONE Body of Christ (Jesus) in heaven, and ONE body of Christ on Earth (Christians). OUR SPIRIT (Being many) resides in ONE Body of Christ (We, being many are ONE BODY (ON EARTH)). Gods Spirit (ONE SPIRIT) resides in ONE BODY of Christ (ON EARTH).

      That, to me, describes the ONENESS that is discussed in John. Spirit and soul and body (1 Thessalonians 5:23, James 2:26, and others)

      The Father is Jesus (As I see it, backed up by Isaiah 9:6, and even Jesus’ own words that the Father (SPIRIT) was IN him. Our spirit is IN us, too. It’s the same thing, as far as I am concerned.

      By the way, I am NOT Pentecostal. I believed this long before I even knew what Pentecostal’s believed. And I certainly do not believe ANYTHING that the Catholics teach.

      Thanks for your time all.

      Ed Chapman

      1. Dear Ed Chapman, this isn’t a trinity vs. oneness dialog. This thread is about whether or not there is still a “SON of God in heaven NOW. Elder Walker teaches that there is no longer a son of God in heaven. He believes that the son no longer exist

      2. Thank you Clark, however, if you really took to heart my dialog, you will see that I believe that the Son of God is nothing more than the BODY of God, and since God has a body, then yes, there is still a SON of God in heaven. I hope this clarifies. God will never be without a body, and as such, there will always be a Son of God.

      3. yes sir according i agree with you that the Son is the body but the body did not come from heaven gal 4 vs4, Luke 1 vs 35 neither went back to heaven . In john 1 it was the word that came from heaven was made flesh and JESUS said in John 3vs 13 the same one that came down is the sameone that went and remember flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God
        thanks for your time
        v anthony thomas

    2. please analyse acts 2vs 36 for me GOD has made THAT JESUS whom you crucified both LORD and Christ was that a exalted position?

      1. Brother Thomas,

        I am rather honored to share my thoughts, however, I’m not sure how sincere you are. So, before I move to quickly, allow me to explain “Flesh and Blood” a term used by you to support the doctrine “No more Son of God”. I will try to post my thoughts in this forum, in away (I hope) that is easy to follow and read. It is traditionally taught by churches that the term “ flesh and blood” refers to the actual and literal flesh and blood of the human body. On the contrary, to interpret every biblical account of the term “ flesh and blood as actual and literal, can be problematic. Jesus used this term while addressing Peter, he said, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

        Flesh and Blood here relate to the carnal mind, something earthly. Thus, Peter revelation didn’t come from, a carnal mind, something earthly, but rather from God. Thus, when the scriptures say that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, it speaks of the carnal mind. Consequently, we are inspired by the scriptures to walk not in the flesh, that is, in the carnal mind, but in the spirit. The carnal mind is corrupted and unable to inherit in-corruption. Jesus told Nicodemus, except he was born again, he could not inherit in-corruption. This was not an actual and literal rebirth, but a spiritual rebirth of the mind. I could continue, but I will rest, and await your reply.

  3. I see where the misunderstanding is, please consider what I say Brother. The church is the body of Christ, in the book of Revelations God is speaking as the spirit, which is the head of the body. The Church is head and body,what is a body without a head? So the church here is described as it should be the Son of God. In. the garden when he prays (let this cup pass from me) he is not having. Doubts or a weak moment as some preach, but tat the cup would be passed, And it was DAY OF PENTECOSTAL
